PC Peripherals printers : EPSON vs CANON vs HP

My friend needs a printer.

He doesnt need many features just printing should be done.

A good quality prints & cheap prints per page.

He would be using in a month around 300pgs black-white & 100 pages of color.

i've shortlisted few printers for him.

EPSON stylus t13

HP deskjet 1000

CANNON pixma ip2770

But cant decide on which one to finalize.

Which company is better out of these 3 ?

& which one would be better suited for him ????

Like gives good quality & at a cheaper prints per page ????

& any other suggestion for printer in this budget then pls give.

I have t13 + CISS. Works extremely good, got my ciss from this guy: Powertec Electronics. Never worry about color or b/w printout. I just print them.

Total t13+ CISS = About 3k.

& what the cost of print per page ??

i Finally purchased EPSON STYLUS TX 121.

But the shopkeeper was telling not to buy an EPSON PRINTER as the cartridge yield was very low and moreover taht cartridge was not refillable.They were suggesting CANNON or HP.

I want to knw is taht true ??

& i wish to implement CISS, But does by implementing that void warranty ???

& what would be the pages yield by that CISS ??? 'coz the shopkeeper & that guy whos name @linuxtechie gave both were very different.

Shopkeeper said around 400-500pgs & that guy said about 4000 pages.So whats it ????

The warranty would be void if the support guys come to know that you have used CISS. CISS would be done only for the cartridge.

The Page difference between the cartridge ink and CISS ink would be because of the capacity of the ink tanks i suppose.

I had got my canon mp287 just a few weeks back and printed around 100 pages with the free cartridge. The ink was almost over so i got it refilled from a refiller for 150 bucks. IF i would have bought a new cartridge it would have costed be around 900 buck
