Ok, so my bro tried to install Assassins Creed but it doesnt work :(

Apparently, the games minimum requirements are a Pentium D 2.6Ghz.

He has an E214 @ 1.6Ghz. However, everyone knows that its much better than the Pentium D @ 2.6Ghz. Apparently, Ubisoft doesnt, cos hes blocked from running the game
Any workarounds, suggestions etc?

What gpu does he have ? I think it would be limited because of graphic memory and not CPU . I have finished whole game on e2160 , even though mine is oc's to 3 ghz .

lol it works on my system just fine :)

How can CPU clock influence a game not working? I played Assassins Creed with my C2D @1.83Ghz Default clock speed. It isn't an issue with his CPU for sure.Does he get any sort of error message? What's his entire system specs? Especially his GPU(If any).

GPU is an 8600GT. so thats not the issue.

The error he gets says that processor speed is 1.6 and doesnt meet requirements, at least i think. ll confirm.

@rapt0r: can u try running at stock and try running the game once :)

Me running Creed on E2160@2.4G, 8600GT, 1680x1050 with no problems. Im using XP. maybe your bro is running on Vista so DX10 is creating troubles...

U need to OC it a bit.If i remember right its minimum CPU Req is 2.6 GHz, so u need to OC it

the minimum speed required is not 2.6 because i've installed it on E4500 @ stock Speeds maybe it has something to do with the processor cache

Confirmed! Creed running on stock speed with the all above stated settings. CPU-Z shows 1795.8 MHz. Frame rate is down but still above 30 FPS. BTW the required procesor speed is 1.9 GHz not 2.6 GHz for Dual cores. There is something wrong with your Creed. Maybe he is too lazy. :ohyeah:

Even i had the error which said my system requirements did not meet the game's req, but i just started the game anyway and it worked fine

Thanks everyone for the confirmations :)

Turns out it was a directx issue. He doesnt have net access, so had an older version. A new install of Dx9 solved it :D Reps to all who helped :ohyeah:
