I can't able to view subtitles (which is in SRT file format) while i am playing the video. I dont know what happened. It was fine few days ago. BUt now i can't enable subtitles....

What went wrong? what i have to do now?

Please give me some suggestions....

which player are you using and from where did you get the subtitles from? Please be specific when raising queries

Note that the SRT file should have the same name as the media file, example, movie.avi should have it's subtitles file named as movie.srt... try that? or perhaps you have fiddled with some setting in your unspecified media player which is not displaying the subtitles?

Not necessarily..

Atleast not if your using VLC Media Player !

If you are using VLC,go to Settings>Preferences>Video>Subtitles/OSD> Point out to the location of your SRT file..

If all this is fine..

The SRT file could have been corrupted as suggested or you may have fiddled with the subtitle settings.

Anyways,Just re-download the subtitle file and use it..

1> Please state the media layer you are using.

2> Use KMPlayer or MPC and manually load the subtitles.

In KMP, Play the video, drag and drop the subtitle. You should get a confirmation in yellow text saying the subtitles were loaded. if you can't see it, press alt-x to toggle show/hide subtitles.. If you still can't see it, it might have gone below your overlay surface, try repositioning the subs by right click > subtitles and some options.. All these if you are using KMP.. If not, use KMP..

Its a free media player.. Damn good.. Plays anything.
