Problem wid windows XP

I have installed windows XP professional on my laptop and then tried to install IE 7 and after restarting the computer[as required by IE] it informs that it is updating the information and after restartinh it displays a blank screen and not even startup is visible....
wat can be the possible reason for this prob?
how to fix it?
how can i uninstall IE7?[coz before installing IE7 it was qorking alrite]

Go to safe mode by tapping F8 when the system boots, and then try to uninstall IE 7.

go into safe mode and use system restore to restore ur system to before u installed IE7..

uninstall it from control panel with add/remove.secondly is your xp original.if not ie7 will not install.

No NO IE7 not for XP...if XP is not orgi ....gives lots of issue's....best way is to uninstall from ad n remove...all any of da steps mentioned in da above post....and also from add n remove ...click on add n remove windows components and reinstall IE6 as it might have corrupted or changes some IE.inf files....
