Laptops problem with inspiron 1520

guys... i bought dell inspiron recently.... config goes like this...
2.2 GHz,4Mb l2 cache....
2GB RAM...
nvidia geforce 8600M GT wit 256MB memory

problem was that the control panel icons load as if my lappy is powered by a celeron processor or something (five at a time) .... it was supposed to be much faster...:no:

i thought reinstalling the OS might solve the problem... i even tried defragmenting files... but after all this the problem persists....

any solution for this....:huh:

which OS ? I would recommend a clean install rather than a re-install!!

the crapware on dell is responsible for this.

Do a clean format and install....
