I have just upgraded my pc , changed my mobo(now it's intel mobo), cpu (core2duo E4600) and a Gb of ram(transdend) and 360 Gb Segate sata hard drive . Before that i had an 80 Gb Pata hard drive which I am still using as a primary drive.
So when I installed the new drive (360 Gb one) , it's showing in the device manager, how ever it's not showing in the my computer space.
In the bios I checked the hard drive is connected in the sata slot 3.
Help!!!!

Set sata HDD as Primary (or first) & IDE one as Slave.. Make sure the IDE controllers are enabled in bios..
If there is any jumper on IDE HDD, remove it..

Yup! thanks! Had to do that computer management disk management stuff!! it's working now!
Thanks everybody!:hap2:

Now ! how do I partition it. the drive now is a dynamic disc , when Itry it to partition it with partition magic it says 'The disc contains one or more partitions which cannot be moved'.
Now what is a dynamic disc and what do I do now!!!!?:(
