hi we went through a big ram compatibility problems causing blue screens

and crashes with my ram 4 gb of corsair xms 800 DHX while building my pc

we tried a stick of 2 gb kingston 667 and the pc worked normally

i need to know what to do next ?

1_ just get another 2 gb of that kingston 667 memory and get on with it ?

but would that downgrade my machine performance ? do i need 800 ram ?

and also the kingston dosnt have heat sinks like the corsair is that an issue ?

2_ try to set the dram voltage manually to work with my corsair expensive

rams .. what are the risks ?

thanks

Whats the stock voltage of the corsair ram? maybe its not getting good juice to run properly.

its on auto do i wanna mess with it ? what if i fried the 1200$ machine ?

wouldnt be better to leave it on auto and use the kingston ?

No it won't fry the machine. Its not Uncle chips, doesnot fry that easily. Give 2.1 V to the ram, it should boot, keep kingston as back-up.

Those corsairs r specified to run at 2.1V. just manually set the RAM voltage to 2.1V.
