PC Peripherals Proc + Mobo + GFX card for Animation & Gaming - have to buy before next week, help

Hey I need a new Motherboard and Processor and a Gfx card for office.

I need it for Animation n gaming purposes... so a better gfx card.

I have a budget of 20k for the above.

spare 10k - 12 k for Gfx n rest for mobo.

Processor AMD only please.

These are the options i thot wud b good by reading other posts
AMd phenom x2 550/9650
biostar 790gx
Gigabyte ma78 mobo.
Asus- dunno model.
powercolor hd 4870 1gb
Xfx hd 4850 512mb
saphire hd 4850 512 mb
Palit gtx250 1gb

Here is remaining config i bought...
Corsairvx450.
Samsung2033sw
Corsair 4gb ram kit.

Will i need anything extra for the system??? cooling stuff???

for Animation purpose u'll need a better CPU(preferably Quad core) n as u've mentioned that u need it for office, then considering ur need of Animation i would suggest u to buy NVidia Quadro GPU..or if u want to hav a balance between gaming n Animation den HD4850/GTS250 is enough for it..

well i would suggest that pour in your money to buy a good powerfull CPU preferrabelly Intel c2Q. and instead of spending on a graphic card. because frankly speaking graphic card will not help u in rendering the image it will be used only for display and redrawing, hence go for a moderate card like nvidia 9600 etc. put the spare cash to buy a good cpu and mobo

Ok My BAD... The PC is for home use. its for my frnd he didnt specify properly.

His classes are starting next week so i hv to buy the PC for him within next week.

I think Ill buy the AMD Phenom x4 9950 which will b around 7.5k if im not wrong.

Still in nt sure about the mobo and gfx card in 12.5k.

my budget is 20k.

i think a 1gb gfx card wud b better...

please any suggestions???

also plz post the prices too..
 
What abt Amd phenom 9650???

nt much performance difference between the two ryt???

altho price diif of abt 1.5k - 2k.

I think ill go with Gigabyte ma78gm mobo. 4.5k

AMDphnemom 9950[ if it is for 8k] other wise phenom 9650.

What options do i have for processor till 8k both Phenom X4 and Phenom II X4

Tht just leaves me with gfx card for 7.5k to 8.5k

Wht options do i have??

take ur dat giga board -------rs 4500 why gigabyte? palit --- rs 3900

and card ---- rs8200

a GTS250 costs 7k. a Phenom II x3 720 for 7.5k and biostar 790GXBE for 4.5k.

If you get lucky you can unlock the 4th core of the Phenom IIx2 720.

Do you want a processor+mobo+graphic card for 20k ? Then here is my suggestion:

AMD Phenom II X3 720BE -> 7.5k

Biostar TA785GE -> 3.2k

Sapphire ATI HD 4870 -> 9k

I assume you have a good PSU. Otherwise your friend have to buy one.

both mobo have same spec.

also consider the Phenom X4 810 BE 2.6GHz 6MB AM3 its current price is at approx rs7450 lamington

anyway in tomshardware charts 9950 was above 720be and as rdbbond said it costs 7.4k

N i hv corsair vx450 for the above system.

SO what mobo n gfx shud i buy now

Biostar TA785GE @3.2 k is a steal.
With 128MB Side-Port memory on board, it can accelerate 3D Gaming performance easily. ATI Hybrid CrossFireX .

Processor
Phenom 9950 for 7.5k

which leaves me around 9.3k for gfx wht shud i buy ???
i think sapphire HD4870 wud fit in for 9k..

720 BE is new Phenom II architecture, consumes much much power, runs much cooler and overclocks much better. Moreover, its got more cache and clock speed. See the following links:

Biostar mobos are better value for monaey. With the latest 785GE mobo, you may even unlock it to a quad. Cheap doesn't always mean poor.

And 4870 is far far better than the other ones you mentioned. And its the best if you plan to use it on a HD monitor. But a 4850 is also very good for a 20".
