PS2 Board Not Working. Need Some Help !!

Hey ...
i just got a slim ps with the M7 mod chip a month back ...
a day or 2 back it wasnt switching on .. so i gave it to my guy again
now this guy is saying my board is ****ed .. no idea wht that meant
gunna get more details when i meeet him today ... but he charging me
3500/- for repairs ... does anyone know any other place in mumbai
who can repair my ps for me and not cheat me !!!
i ll put in more details of what has happened in about 4 hours after meeting
him !!!
 
You should have done a little research before going in for a modchip, there is ONE i remember sometime back, that will not destroy or cause any faults in your PS2, forgot the model though.I guess you might as well get it fixed or your screwed mate.
 
cowax on this forum can tell u the exact details of the name of the modded chip.He got it modded amd plays for 5+ hrs daily on his slim ps2.
 
darthcoder ... cowax and i have the same chip ... we bought it at the same

place .. and he plays 8 hrs daily lol ...

the guys telling me the ici on my ps2 is faulty .. so he has to change the whole

board ...

is there any way that i can get this done with changing the whole board ..

thats the fault
 
^^ bum,..its not the mod chip, its the voltage fluctuation at your place.

i know that ... but my question is tht can i replace my slim ic ..

without that guy changing the whole board ..

because if i order the V12 ic it ll cost me 1400/- and that guy

changing my whole board is gunna cost 3000/-

where's that guy who ripped open his X-BOX when u need him ... lol
