Well , Saumil posted someone running GOW series on the PC using emulators.

But to understand and try out with different plugins is pretty frustrated.
Would be grateful if anyone who has successfully run PS2 games on the PC to write up a small guide here. :hap2:

^ oh sir, please explain. Maybe I will understand.

The only concern that I have when talkin about a console game being emulated is that they most probably are using pirated version. (tell me if i am wrong)

Roxtin is correct....if you want to play a console game get a console as it satisfies you to the fullest......emulation and all that stuff sucks......

I have tried an emulator called PCSX2
But u have to at least have a controller eg xbox 360(for pc)
Its very easy to config .u have to check the help content to correctly config. The only thing boring was to map the controls so it could match with ps2 ones .
i have tried dragonballz and naruto
The gameplay was smooth i have 9800GT and q6600 and 2gb ram

that doesn't make sense. why can't someone buy an original PS 2 DVD and emulate it on his PC?

i've played LEGIT PSX titles on my PC using Bleem.

The following plugins were being used in the GoW screenshots I posted:

PCSX2 Beta r1888 VC9
GSDX 1076m D3D9
SPU2-X 1.3.0
Lilypad svn r2001

Just look around on NGEmu, you will get all the help you need.

no, i'm not talking about myself. i've also emulated pirated games, not only legit ones.

what i'm trying to say is emulation doesn't automatically mean pirated games. the same pirated games can also be played on a modded PS2 so emulation isn't the bad guy here in any way.

in fact, emulation is awesome... without it, so many classic console and arcade games would be lost forever.

I tried Devil May Cry 2 and WWE Raw V/S Smackdown 2006/2008/2009 and all of the worked close to 50fps or at times above it. I also tried Dragonball Z Budokai 3 and it had some weird screen flickering issue when I started the combat.

I'll try to get my old PS2 DVD's back from my friend and try it out. Really anxious to see how God of War turns out. One thing is for sure, this emulator needs a really good CPU and a dual core one at that.

I'll post my settings and configuration later on. For beginners, this would be an excellent guide and the most simplest one:

How to Run PlayStation 2 (PS2) Games on Your PC with PCSX2 - Unleashing console fury on your PC - Softpedia

that means you are getting full speed.if i am correct pal versions max speed is 50 and ntsc's at 60fps.
