PS3 Controller not working - What to do?

So, my PS3 controller, which i got with my console, is not working.

When i put it to charge, the four red LED's blink, but when i press the PS button, nothing happens.

So i can't play games with it. I dunno what is wrong.

Help? :down:
 
Tried every possible troubleshooting step? I suppose you cannot do much other than getting yourself a new controller.

I tried everything. I have never dropped the controller, no nothing. But it ain't working. I dunno why the 4 LED's are blinking while charging though.

But i guess you're right. Have to spend 3k on a new controller now. FML.
 
What if the internal Li-ion battery has gone bad? Does it work when you have the controller connected to the console via the USB cable?
 
did you connect it to someone else's ps3 ?

try this -
turn on the controller before the console.let the lights flash.
give it a few secs and then turn on the console.see if it is syncing.

ps- are you holding the reset button for the whole 10 seconds?

Nope! No one near me has a ps3.

The PS button isn't working at all. Not even while i have it on charge. Though the four red led's keep blinking as they do when you charge the controller.

Yes i tried that also. Doing this did nothing.
I am really sad, i didn't even do anything with the controller and it gave up on me :'(
 
Sucks! Were you playing any title recently?

Anyways, while getting a new one ensure that the controller works properly. Get it from a proper retail outlet.
 
I have a backup controller. Bought it two months back.

once i suffered from the same problem

just get a toothpick and press the button that is on the back of ds3 ... mine did

^ Well he is kinda right to lament about it.
Sony cant provide the slightest of the warranty on its own product.. then that is really a sorry thing.

And if it indeed was being provided, the price wd have been nothing short of day light robbery.
