i have a ps3 which has always been working fine. then, i did not use it for a while. and when i tried using it again, i figured the HDD has crashed. so i put in a new HDD, installed the latest firmware and got the ps3 up and running again. i have also bought a new tv on which i connected this (toshiba 39p2305) via HDMI.
however, the screen flickers all the time. the video/audio keeps going off for 2-3 seconds and then turns back on. the TV display keeps turning on and off. this keeps happening every 1 minute or so (in between gameplay as well as the ps3 menu). so the signal originating from the ps3 is fine. but the output to the tv keeps flickering. and both audio/video since i am using HDMI.
cant figure out what the problem is. i dont think the cable is damaged. i have tried disabling deep color output but to no avail. i tried searching on google and it seems to be a very common problem. but couldnt find a solution which works for me.
anyone else has encountered this in the past and knows what to do?
