PS3 Game hangs at certain point always - Disc issue or PS3 ? - God of War Asscension

Playing God of War Ascension on PS3 and this issue. System freezes at a certain point where Kratos jumps from a bridge. Played this game 2 years but did not complete it and starting same again..
Problem is game hangs exactly here:

Game hangs exactly at 20:07 when kratos, steps on broken bridge.
After this, just the loading icon appears on bottom right of TV screen.

Tried nearly 20+ times, but failed. (tried all these steps)
1. Deleted all old profiles and started from level 1. (nothing worked)
2. Cleaned the DVD with some corsair liquid (no luck)
3. Cleaned PS3 as suggested on playstation.com site (no luck)

Disc was a present from Europe few years ago. It is not scratched/smudged at all.
Tried to clean several times but game hangs exactly (only at the given time).

Rest all other games works fine, which includes most of PS3 Move Essentials Game..
Anyway to clean the disc(cd/dvd) or headers of ps3.. (rest all games are fine)

Googling this issue only brings up your own thread in IGN forums at the top. It seems the game itself had a lot of issues, with many people reporting crashes, hangs, freezes, audio and gameplay issues. It might also be a disc problem, if you really want to finish it you can try to buy it digitally, it's $10 in PSN NA. Off topic, get a cheap hard disk and upgrade your PS3. 12 GB is way too small. There are multiple guides in youtube, look them up.

Seems the disc is faulty, i clean it with some liquid from Corsair using cotton, it played once and again got hung..
Upgrading the HDD IS THE BEST solution, i got from many other forums too and it is possible now to add it..
Appreciate again.
