^^its heat related issue...not really sure about whats the main reason behind RROD...nd this YLOD is not bound to happen but lot of PS3 are having this problem...

I guess waiting for Slim may perhaps reduce YLOD chances with its lesser power consumption. So if we install the extra cooling fans or cooling tray, this problem shouldnt b emuch of worry I guess?? Will extended waranty from CRoma cover this??

RROD mostly relates to excessive heating & poor ventilation in addition to dust accumulation and the chip going bust as a result.

The PS3 slim has a rather slim chance of YLOD'ing. Time's too short for anything to be speculated as of now!

Even I feel the same about the slim version...nd am sure the extended warranty will cover the YLOD problem too..

I guess its same as YLOD then...nd heard that its been fixed for the Jasper series...Hope the same goes with PS3's slim series..

You need to try a good reflow.
Look for a mobile phone repairer, they have good heat guns, and heaters.
Heat is not the issue, as you seem to have already used decent paste & pads for dissipation.

even heating for a few minutes in a closed/ semi closed environment, and maintain it.

few minutes? frm what I heard and read from some of the YLOD fix guides, I learnt that about 2minutes of heating, inclusive of all the parts that r to be heated, is good enough...d did that at a constant temp...

I did come across the same, but wasnt sure if I should be ordering from UK..never tried...I guess I have got no other option left...

EDIT: Theres a problem...I need to have a credit card for the payment..even for PayPal I will need a credit card..so what now?
