A Download rig is preferred for downloading torrents as it consumes very less power,
Think that over again,A PSP running CFW can thump them..

Ctorrent for PSP released, torrents get even more portable, PSP Hacks - PSP Slim Hacks

That's Good...but isnt a mobile fone even better?..i have been using my n95 as a torrent download rig(using symtorrent) for about 1 year now..:bleh:

Neverthless i now have my second low power consuming(not!)(my psp has just 3 hours battery backup :@) dl'd rig ...
Thanx for the info...
Peace~

How much power does a psp consume when powered by ac cable, when it is already under full charge, that could be a great comparison with a download rig..

Wow,N95 idea rocks  im going to try that on my father's E61(pity it has only a 2gig memory card :( )

The biggest issue here being the longevity of the memory card not withstanding, any handheld device used as a downloading option will turn out to be pretty pocket friendly.

Do these applications that allow Bittorrent on PSP or N95 or even other phones have features like queuing? What about the various NAT settings and port forwarding?

sure setup a static ip for the psp,and give it the highest Qos,but there is no portforward option on Ctorrent, its a simple good to go!,torrent downloader thats it.
for that matter one could have a separate memory stick for downloading say 8 gig

does it actually work coz its good, but i have just one query wheather the memory would be enough like i have 8gb card.or do i need to buy 1.

In case on N95 it is symtorrent and the only option present are startup hash checking and choosing the incoming port..u also cannot set priority or even disable/reduce upload speed.

Hey but for the past 10-11 months i have been using it and its been great all the while.

My N95 is an 8 gb version, but till now havent felt any crunch in dling stuff...just move the file when your memory gets full?..

i will try ctorrent for PSP and update...

Peace~

hmmm...no port forwarding and dubious NAT settings won't help on private trackers.

this one method is not for me. maybe i'll think about getting one of those hackable ASUS modems and convert them into a 24 hours NAS and download rig.
