MGS fans ALERT! System Over-ride...must...REBOOT!

Can we now get back to Ghost of Sparta and how awesome it is?

Good times ahead. Friend just dropped off his PSP. Now to start off with God of "f*ckin" WAR on it. Any other good games to get while am at it? Also how long are both these games?

AC: Bloodlines seem to be just okayish. Patapon is an awesome TP. Loved playing Resistance: Retribution as well. If you like the fighting genre, try Tekken 5. Gfx is amazing for a handheld console.

Btw GOW:GOS clocked roughly 10 hours for me on the Spartan difficulty. Which one do you have ATM? The 3000 series or the 2000 series? Asking this, because the 2000 series has a better screen compared to the newer 3000 slim & lite.

Pfft....I have the best of the best; PSP-1000. :ashamed:

I'm really leaning towards buying Aman's PSP, but I'll just give this a swing before I take my decision and if I can get accustomed to it, then he gets a buyer and I'll own one more Sony product. :D

^Oh. :P

Aman has a kick ass deal and so does Deepak. IDK but somehow I don't think buying a PSP will be a fruitful purchase for me considering I sleep in the bus during the 1 hour odd travel from the workplace to home and back and I game on the PC or the PS3 otherwise. The only other leisure time I might get to game would be the journey to my native place twice a year (spent with the netbook watching a movie or two) and probably a handful of titles I'd love to game on the PSP. I'd give this a miss. :)

But seriously, I thought handheld gaming was just meh with the small screen, lowly gfx etc. I was wrong. :P

I just started this game and it's jaw-droppingly amazing. However, the frame rates are really crushing my groove. They seem to be really poor in all areas. I thought it would only be in the initial level as it had to render intensive water and physics effects, but it's poor even in areas where there is absolutely no one and the area is enclosed by walls. Should I upgrade to 5.50 Gen-D firmware? My firmware is currently on 5.00 M33-4. Are there any known issues in updgrading to 5.50 Gen-D firmware? Can we revert to our original firmware after updating?

I really want to play this game properly and frame rate drops is something which is unacceptable.

upgrade to 5.00 m33-6. btw i really think u have a fake MSPD, i didn't have frame drops until the game was loading levels while in action.

It is a fake MSPD. I have an original Sony MSPD which goes into my Sony Cybershot, but that doesn't seem to fit into the PSP for some reason. :(

I don't know that, hence the query. I don't want to end up with an unstable firmware, as it's not my PSP.

Not sure what the problem here is. MSPD from the cam should be the same as that used in the PSP right? I mean physically. Had no issues with the PSP 3004 here. Everything was butter smooth. You should probably upgrade the f/w Allwyn.

It's slightly stable now. Reached the Island of Crete and I'm a bit disappointed with the background score in this game. Chains of Olympus was definitely a notch above this game in terms of it's musical score. But the over all story connection is perfect. It bridges a lot of gaps between God of War I and II.
