PSP - Hack?Mod?CFW?Homwbrew?ChickHEN?

Hey

I will soon be getting a PSP 3000 through a friend from the US.
I read a few articles about Modding, and Hacking it and am very confused.

Can I do this by myself? I'm very much a Noob when it comes to PSP.

Is there a way to install CFW using the ChickHEN?

I definitely dont have the expertise or even the daredevilry to Hard Mod using the pandora battery or Magic Memory card.

Is there a place in Bangalore who will hack and install CFW?

Other than foregoing my warranty, are there any negatives to hacking/modding the PSP?

before buying check that the firmware version should be 5.03 or less than only you will be able to rum homebrew's on it.

Homebrew could also be used to run emulators and apps like PSPfiler etc... Now the point is that you are getting a new 3000. If it is on the latest firmware AFAIK even ChickHEN wont work. And tbh trying to get homebrew running on the 3000 , Go is a b**ch.

Your best bet is to get hold on an old 1000 or 2000. I myself have a 1000 and find little reason to upgrade considering that all the games run on it.
