I am facing the the following issue:
Whenever I add devices to my RIG, e.g. 500 GB USB Drives, Webcam, etc units that consume notable power, I notice that either I get a RAID 1 failure or a RAID 5 failure.
Now I already am running 3+2+2+1 drives in my system, & I am suspecting my power supply which is a year old RS-500-PCAR from Cooler Master.
Considering the other specs - (sig below) - suggest me a power supply unit that can:
Reliably deliver 300W+ AVG power to the system
Rated between 450-550 W
Should work without problem with a APC 800W Inverter (non sine wave)
Budget = 1/0
Would be interested in a 80 Silver/ Gold Unit.
Am not very keen on a VX450, as I recollect some issues with the Inverter from a previous experience, leading to purchase of the CM Unit.
Please post a proper reason why you suggest a particular unit/ model.
VX450 guys can also put up their experience with inverters, esp. non sine wave APC units
Cheers!
