hey guys.this is my first post here at techenclave..im planning to buy the following..
intel e6550
abit ip35e
kingston/transcend 800mhz 2x1gb
msi 8600gt 512mb gddr3
19" dell E198WFP
a dvd writer
seagate 250gb
now the question is...will the powersafe 500w silver psu(rs1700) be enough for my system or should i go for cooler master extreme power 500w(rs3400) keeping in mind the future upgrades(if any)?
plus can u guys recommend a good cabinet for around rs1500 or a bit more?
:thanx:

welcome to TE.

for ur current system the powersafe would be adequate, but cm 500w would be better if you want to keep a large room for upgradation. Might even try getting the gigabyte superb 460w at 2.3k, currently that is the deadliest vfm in this range.

in 1.5 to 2k the best bet would be zebronics cabbys esp. zebby bijli, go to their website for details and other models. i think you might as well want to look at chieftech cabbies if possible.

thanks @tangentray...how about the cooler master elite 330?its available for rs 1650.....and is the above configuration ok?any change?

Welcome to TE :

intel e6550 - ok
abit ip35e - ok
kingston/transcend 800mhz 2x1gb - Skip the Transend unless u have really good relations with the dealer u going to buy from. Get the Kingston , very nice and smooth RMA procedure when needed.
msi 8600gt 512mb gddr3 - Save some here , the 256MB DDR3 version is just fine.
19" dell E198WFP - nice.
a dvd writer - Get the ASUS LiteScrub version for Rs.1450, total VFM ATM.
seagate 250gb - The money u save by saving from the switch to the 256MB version of 8600GT should be used here to get a 320GB :)
now the question is...will the powersafe 500w silver psu(rs1700) be enough for my system or should i go for cooler master extreme power 500w(rs3400) keeping in mind the future upgrades(if any)? - The 500W PSU should be fine.
