Budget 0-20k PSU for my cheap build

So, I have planned to build my first pc and have procured second hand parts from here and other places. I plan to get new psu and ssd because I dont wanna take chance with used psu and ssd. I am a bit fickle like that but anyway, these are the parts for my build and all are used or rmaed

**CPU** | [AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor] - ramed

**Motherboard** | [Asus ROG STRIX X470-F Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard] - rmaed

**Memory** | [ADATA XPG GAMMIX D30 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory - new 5.5k from pcstudio.in

**Storage** | [Crucial MX500 250 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive] - new

**Video Card** | [GALAX GeForce GTX 980 4 GB SOC Video Card](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/xjX2FT/galax-video-card-98nqh6dnc7vz) - used

**Case** | Zebronics Zeb-Magnum Premium Gaming Chassis https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B07ZQH55KN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - got this for 2.7k from amazon

**Operating System** | [Microsoft Windows 10 Pro OEM 64-bit](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/MfH48d/microsoft-os-fqc08930) | $139.88 @ Other World Computing

**Monitor** | [LG 24MK400H-B 24.0" 1920x1080 75 Hz Monitor] - used

Pc part picker shows that 350 w as estimate. I plan to get 550w for this. I wouldnt want to pay more than 4k max. What do you guys think about the Atom antec psu's ( https://mdcomputers.in/antec-550-watt-atom-v550-in.html )? are they reliable?

This PC is for designing (mild designing - rhino6 is very basic and doesn't use lots of power) and not for gaming. will be used everyday for 8 hours. thanks for the help.

edit: looking at these right now:
1. gigabyte p550b 80 plus bronze smps https://mdcomputers.in/gigabyte-550-watt-80-plus-bronze-p550b.html?sort=p.price&order=ASC
2. antec atom b550 550w 80 plus bronze: https://deltapage.com/compu-tronics/smps/antec-b550
3. antec atom v550 in https://mdcomputers.in/antec-550-watt-atom-v550-in.html?sort=p.price&order=ASC - super cheap

Open for any suggestion and this will be my first build so any help/suggestion regarding other parts is appreciated. thanks

Inefficient? It is 650w gold and is more than sufficient for your rig as well as future. Unless you are thinking to run 3080 card in sli.
I just watched some videos where they mentioned that having more wattage when not needed only increases inefficiency ,so asking. Anyway, it's way beyond my budget of 4k. It costs around 7k . And I am not gonna upgrade the pc for atleast 3 years.

I would strongly suggest not to cheap out on PSU. A 550 watt PSU is good enough for you.
I am running higher spec than yours and I am using Antec Earthwatts Pro 550 watt and it is managing just fine. It should cost you around 5-5.3k and it comes with 7yrs warranty.

If you can't extend your budget, then go with a PSU from any good brand (Corsair, Thermaltake, Antec, CoolerMaster).. these brands are easily available in India.
Ensure you go with a model that comes with atleast 5yrs of warranty period. That will more or less ensure it is a decent quality PSU.

Please avoid Antec Atom at any cost. That PSU is crap for a gaming / streaming build.

I will extend my budget for psu. Seems the right thing to do. Dont wanna mess with electricity. Thanks for the help.

like others have pointed out, the psu is the power core for the pc. it is not advisable to go with a cheap unit. For my mid range build, i chose a corsair 550w unit. I have encountered no issues so far and can highly recommend it.

There are many 550w corsair models. Which one did you buy? People have suggested cx550 to me.

i got the cx suggestion as well but I chose a vs550. the CX would have 5 yrs warranty as opposed to VS's 3 years. but my seller did not have it in his inventory. I was in a rush for my build just a month before the pre pandemic time, so i went with VS. it has served me well so far with no issues.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I will definitely consider your suggestion. Thanks for the help. Cheers
