PC Peripherals Psu+Motherboard suggestion needed...

Hello,

I will be using this PC only for surfing,playing movies and as a 24X7 download rig.

I already have the following setup

Processor-
Intel® Pentium® D Processor 925 (4M Cache, 3.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

Motherboard-
Gigabyte GA-945GCMXS2 (Micro Atx)

Ram-
1gb X 2 (transcend)

Hard Disk -
1 segate 500gb sata
1 WD 500 Gb sata

XFX 7200 GS 256 on board 512 Shared

Viewsonic 22" VA2226w LCD

Samsung cd/dvd combo drive

Generic smps 350W

But now the mobo has gone kaput... and warranty is expired ..so i have to get a new mobo.

I connect my pc to the monitor using a DVI cable so the vga port in the monitor is free for connecting my Xbox 360 console... hence i use the above graphics card.

As this rig is primarily for downloading 24X7(more like 20 hours) i was thinking of doing away with the graphics card and buying a motherboard with a DVI slot as the graphics card may cause heating issues(no aircondition or power issues ....(or am i making a fuss for no reason..)

i was thinking of these ones

1-- TheITWares -GIGABYTE GA-G41M-ES2L LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - TheITWares ( Rs 2.3k)

2-- TheITWares -MSI G41 G41TM-E63 Motherboard For Intel LGA775 - TheITWares (Rs 3.3k)

3-- TheITWares -MSI LGA1156 VGA Micro ATX Motherboard H55M-E33 - TheITWares ( Rs 3.3k)
And also i was thinking of buying a PSU because i dont think the generic one will suffice....

My TOTAL BUDGET is around Rs 5k.

so please suggest accordingly and the prices are from the website please tell me the current and updated prices...
 
chill...your graphics card is underpowered...it won't cause any heating issues.
your generic psu will barely suffice with that processor, but if you want something more efficient that'll save you about 20 watts, then get something like the gigabyte superb 460 (a 400w smps) for Rs 2200, or the seasonic 430, (i think it's available in the dealers paradise section for Rs. 3000). Both will serve you in your future rigs as well.

if you only want it to play movies/download, why not consider an atom rig? lower power, quieter, and it'll fit into a tiny case.
 
Get either:-
Gigabyte G31M ES2L
or
Gigabyte G41M ES2L

the G41M has slightly better IGP and audio(not much real difference though) while the G31 board is slightly cheaper. You cannot go wrong with either of them. :)
 
Gigabyte G31M ES2L...... for now..

and is MSI reliable if yes then is this alright

and also i am getting almost the same deal with the G31 of biostar ...is it better

i am talking about rma also

and i will keep the graphix card for the dvi port.....

and i will go for gigabyte psu ...that will cost 2.2k .... so i have around 2.8 k for the motherboard..
