PC Peripherals PSU upgrade query

Hi guys,

my current config.

CPU:AMD Phenom II X4 940 Processor

Motherboard:Biostar TA790GXBE

Memory:4GB RAM

HDD(s):1.5 TB Total 3 are WD .

Graphics card(s):ATI Radeon HD 6950 2GB

Sound card: Asus Xonar Essence DG

Speakers: plantronic gamecom 377 headset

Optical drive(s): Sony DVD R/W

Power Supply: CoolerMaster Silentpro 500w

CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper TX3

Fans: 2x120

Case:NZXT Guardian

Keyboard: logitech

Mouse: NZXT Avatar S

Display: Samsung SyncMaster 2033

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)

UPS : APC 650W



recently i replaced HD4870 with HD6950 2GB . But after adding that card i have been facing issue i mean pc sometime get freeze and less performance in BF3 :/ + i had to stop one 120 led fan because my DVD rom wasn't working which means i am drawing more electricity then it can give .

correct me if i am wrong .

i won't upgrade anything for next 2-3years but this issue must be retify so i am thinking of upgrading my PSU . please tell me PSU also please keep in mind i have APC 650W UPS so please make sure it can also handle it
 
Get Corsair tx750v2-6.2k considering you won't upgrade in 3 years and you can also oc your gpu+cpu with this one,also you can upgrade your gpu to Amd hd7xxx series.
 
what about my UPS will it able to handle it :S + i have no plan of OC in future i am not that much freak about FPS as long as game is stable and lag free i have no problem with less FPS
 
If you areb't gonna oc then,Seasonic s12ii 620w-4.7k or Corsair TX650V2-5.3K should be enough.You should get APC UPS 1.1 KVA-4.5kfor your rig,it will give you backup while gaming.

i don't need backup as i have inverter already . i just need that PC should not restart when light goes and inverter comes to life . Will visit Nehru place to buy PSU
 
If your inverter is gonna run the pc then for only seconds backup apc 650v ups is enough.
