u can call this as a follow up to the post of Chinese pirates..

The Chinese motorcycle industry has actually copied the very famous and very successful model of the Bajaj's Pulsar.. and even the brand name is very similar

A Bajaj a company source said " It’s a violation of intellectual property rights (IPR) and we have taken up the matter with the industry body, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) "
SIAM has already taken up the matter with commerce ministry. "We have made a detailed presentation to commerce ministry and pointed out that Gulsar violates IPR norms. We have asked the government to take up the matter with China and even WTO, if necessary," a SIAM official said.

The bike is on an upswing in the Latin American market.
Latin America is one of the biggest overseas markets for Bajaj Auto and the firm is also in the process of setting up an assembly operation in Brazil.

This is the first instance of an Indian bike being copied by a Chinese manufacturer

Several global auto biggies — led by GM, Honda and Yamaha — have faced similar issues in the past.. ( So we can actually say we are gaining upon them .. atleast in some fronts .. :bleh: )
GM had recently settled a dispute with China’s Chery Automobiles, which had allegedly copied the design of GM-Daewoo’s Matiz and was selling it in the US under the brand ‘QQ’

Not heard of the S-RV?? A copy of the Honda C-RV.... Chinese dont know anything else..... copy, copy and copy more.....
