Putting adsense ads in wordpress blog

I want to put ads in my wordpress blog, but I am totally confused. It will be very helpful if anyone here using any good plugins they have used & can guide me properly.

1. Firstly which plugin to use ?

2. And how to configure it ?

Try using Post Layout plugin. I would recommend you this plugin, and also its very easy to use.

Is it a self-hosted blog or hosted on wordpress.org

If its self-hosted then use Easy Adsense Plugin for placing adsense ads.
