wow farookh, sorry Sir Farookh this is amazing.. i never knew the peltier TECs could be used in cooling pc componenets.. U sure need to put up a pic and a guide plz...

Edit : Was just reading around abt peltier cooling for pcs after looking at this thread and came across this guide.. It mentions some of the problems that can be faced in peltier cooling and one of them is condensation on the cooled components when cooled to below ambient temperatures.. Its explained in detail on this page.. I'm just a n00b at TECs but i found this point to be valid and thought i'd mention it.. Hope you've given it a thought...

Wow!!!! Never knew about this. And 2.5k? really to cheap to have it for those outstanding temps!!! But as Niks said, how do u cope up with the condensation???

Call the gizmo 'Farookh TEC Rev 1.0'.:ohyeah:

Awesome and scary at the same time.:P

Congrats Farookh Sir- i always called him that.:D

Very good way to chill it man... :)
Farookh, can you see any condensation or its holding clean nicely??

hi guys,

not much condensation as the socket is well packed with neoperene

but i did try the peltier out without ne load and they was ice formation on it within a 1 minute

guys its not very tough to do just sandwich the peltier between 2 copper plates shove that between your cpu & the ultra cooler make sure which is the cool side let that face the cpu.(if you have the peltier in front of you wires towards you the red wire should be on your left and the down side is the cold side.

Make sure u have a good powersupply cause it draws 14amps on the 12v rails i used a second ps to run it. I wouldnt recommend this for 24/7 usage because your power bills are just going to shoot up like crazy and if your cpu idles for long your cpu will definitely go sub 0. but if you want some crazy overclocks nothing can compare to this for the price.
for mounting i used an old zalman bracket. you can use the ultra clips but will have to buy longer screws will post some photos latter so its easy to get an idea of how i mounted it.

but by far this is the cheapest and easiest way you can cool the quad without much hassle

if ne of you want more info feel free to pm me will be glad to help. will post some snaps of the things needed and how to mount as soon as i get time sunday most probs.

regards
