Monitors Queries about 19" Monitor

I have ordered for the

SAMSUNG 957 MB(19 iches),DUAL-TONE color

for Rs 14,000(samsung India web-site -Rs 15,900)

So,.....

AM I "WRONG" with the Product Choice or the PRICES?
 
Say, are there any free Monitor Diagnostics and Calibration Software? What do the review sites use?
There is stuff like Digital Video Essentials and AVIA Guide to Home Theater DVD for TVs and DVD players. Anything similar for computer monitors?
 
Well, never mess with the Monitors settings. MY friend tried to increase his Refresh Rate supported with some tool and burnt his Screen.
Luckily he got a replacement. Lol.

You should have rather gone for the 997DF. But thats not a bad choice as well.
 
Nono...I wasn't speaking about refresh rates. I was speaking about contrast, brightness, hue, saturation etc.
 
NECs are available...but usually you have to place advance orders...if you navigate the site a bit you should find the Indian contact for NEC...

Am I supposed 2 take the 997DynaFlat a better one than the 957Magic Bright or the other way round?(since the former is lesser in COST than the later & also in the FEATURES & PERFORMANCE set) //Yes maybe the 997DF is a more VFM!

I need 2 do a lot of Photo-shopping.....so was wanting for a GOOD & well calibirated Monitor!(Anyway,read +ive reviews of the 957 evrywhere)

what say?

Both are liason offices. Not product distributors. Still, will inquire with them and see.
 
no they arent distributors but they can set yopu up with a monitor or w/e if your willing to pay the price...which is usually 2 X US price

when i last checked i was looking for a 21" black CRT and they quoted me a 56,000 INR price for the monitor which sold for 500 US$
