Hello guys, I have a MSI X58i motherboard and I am thinking of upgrading my ram.
I currently have 2*2gb gskill kit and i'm thinking of getting a 3*4gb kit.
I just want to ask if any 4gb ddr3 memory stick of 4gb would work on my board or not?

It supports upto 12GB of DDR3-1333MHz memory.
If you are making a 3*4gb make sure you get the same ram which you have now

Thanks for your response, i'll see if i can get the current ones in 3*4gb but any other ram at 1333mhz would work also right?

ALSO if i'll get sticks at 1600mhz, what can happen? Just wanna know..

Same manufacture ram sticks and speeds are recommended for best hassle free optimal performances
It will get downgraded to 1333mhz

Oh understood, I assumed the same would happen, anyways ill look into gskill kits now, thanks for your help!
