1. Read this guide, good for any screen with oleophobic coating - Apple Screen Cleaning Guide. One pass of slightly water-dampened microfiber cloth and another pass of dry microfiber cloth, ones specially for screen cleaning/polishing (AEC Ultra or Scotch-Brite this one at instamart also). Anything other than water will only increase the chances of reaction with the oleophobic coating. Normally there is no need to dampen the cloth, if there are no fingerprints.

2. I have a 2016 OLED model, and it has burn-ins around the channel logos/ static contents, only visible though when the whole screen is bright red. They added a pixel refresher and screen shift in later updates, and newer models have that from day one. So do not worry much. Let it remain on standby after use though for it to run the pixel refresher in the background. The OLED light levels are directly proportional to the chances of burn-in though, so you might want to tweak that in the picture settings. Also, another piece of advice is to not enable HDMI SIMPLINK(CEC) and auto power features as the bad HDMI device can turn your TV on whenever it wants. e.g., Set-top box decided to auto-update in the middle of the night and turned on the TV with static content for the whole night o_O.

3. Yes, there is a small premium to protect the expensive thing.

don't use any liquids, clean it only when required with an actual microfibre cloth.
Is it safe for watching cricket
what do you mean by safe? you would need to elaborate here. If you are talking about burn-in it should be that much of a problem just run the regular pixel refresh cycles and it should be fine.
Is UPS a must for OLED
It is always better to use it but it's not a necessity.

I hope you bought extended warranty .from LG itself as well as from the store of purchase. I am a CX owner ,faced dead pixel. Registered a complaint .service guy came took photographs and within 2 -3 days new screen was installed. In oled there is no jugaad .they have to replace the whole screen.

Is it safe for watching cricket?

I believe OP is referring to the long score strip at the bottom, which could potentially cause burn-in on the TV.

I also have C4 for last 8 months and never worry about burn in. Unlike older OLEDs, newer models come with several hardware and software features designed to prevent it. I’d recommend enabling all burn-in protection settings and just enjoying your TV.

I bought C4 65 inch 3 months ago. Haven't bought any extended warranty. it was too expensive, don't remember it exactly. it didn't seem worth.
Well I bought it in Covid times where lg gave extended warranty 1+2 year and bought additional warranty from the shop becuase it's oled. The money that haggled to reduce the price went into extended warranty .do I repent it no.because I doubt pcb would fail .but screen absolutely I did have deadpixel .

And fyi they sell same panels globally with 5 year warranty and in india with one which is unfair.

They have this also now: "A third option is the Logo Luminance Adjustment, which can detect static logos on the screen and reduce brightness to help decrease permanent image retention."

Just for information for anyone thinking of getting LG Oled. The OS is shit. get something like GoogleTV or Firestick if you don't want to be always in angry mood while watching TV. I use Google TV and hardly ever switch to LG Web OS. But the oled panel is definitely worth it.
