The counter vailing duty is equal to the excise duty on similar articles produced or manufactured in India, and it is eligible for an offset against excise duty liability if the imported goods are used in the manufacture of other goods.
DHL is going over hand with these stupid custom duties now-a-days. If you are importing low value products... please use UPS/USPS/Fedex. They don't have such stupid rates/extra charges. Even if you are charged... max you get charged is 21% of the market value. Mark is something resonable and you don't hv to worry much. Thats my experience.
