Question about gaming controller

Hi all.

I am looking to buy a gaming controller for PC. However, i am confused, as to how many games support the gaming controller. Or to put it more simply, which gaming controller works in all the games. Will the Xbox/Xbox 360 controller work for all games?

The Xbox 360 controller (the white one) will work on pretty much any game you would like to play (Need for speed, GTA, Tony hawk, FIFA, PES etc). The original xbox controller was never released for the PC, however you can mod the controller to be used as a USB gamepad.

The Xbox 360 controller is easily the best I've tried but if you are looking for something less expensive I can't recommend the twin shock enough. Its dirt cheap (Rs 400 last I checked) and durable as hell. Plus compatible with every game I threw its way.

Currently I have a Frontech fantasy pad and a twin shock on my PC.

^^ No need to Mod the controllers, There is a Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller for PC http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/gaming/productdetails.aspx?pid=091, this is very much available in India, priced arnd Rs.1500 bux.

I am using this only, and its very good.

I'm using both a Frontech Fantasy Pad , and the X360 wired USB controller .. Albeit the later is a hell lot better .. but i do miss the vibration ..

not really, i have used the logitech dual action, rumblepad 2 ( corded and cordless ) and the xbox 360 pad.

x 360 pad is the best among these, no doubt !

Yes, here in chennai the retail price is 1500. Around the same price in hyderabad. In place its priced little high. Last i heard it was something like Rs.1900 in mumbai iirc.

hey..why not get the adapter which will help u connect ps2 joystick to the pc..my friend owns a ps2 and he uses that adapter.it comes for around 500 rs.

Got it for 1800 (inc. VAT) here ... so its pretty cheap i guess ... the closes one i'd vote would be the "ChillStream" from Logitech .. or else go for a cheap dual shock controller .. should be around 250 bucks nowadays ..
