PC Peripherals Question regarding ordering PSU through US

Is it ok to order PSU from US. I mean there operating Volts are between 100 to 240V, so theoritically no problems right???

I personally feel its not worth to get a PSU from US if u get it shipped....shipping charges will be way too high...if someone is carrying it for u ...then its fine i suppose....

But still when u can get good brands like corsair and Tagan locally why do u want to get it from US....

I would not advise getting a PSU through US mainly for the weight of the product, unless u want a specific model

Nowadays, we get Quality PSU's at comparable US rates here in India. Also with warranty.

Corsair, FSP, Tagan are easily available here

Actually, PSUs nowadays are either autoranging (i.e. 100-240V) or have a 110-220V toggle switch, but it wouldn't hurt to check. I picked up a Seasonic micro-atx 300W in the U.S. to replace the junk PS that came with my i-ball baby case and it works like a charm.

i got my TX750 from kmd and it was 2k cheaper than locally , works great

Actually getting it hand delivered from relative... so the difference is huge. A 750 Corsair is for 110 USD versus 7k in India... See what I am saying.

Its preferable if you get the Corsair as they have International warranty. You can goto Power Supplies - The Corsair Support Forums to verify that.

There is no 115/230V switch on Corsair power supply's, due to full-range active PFC. Active PFC (Power Factor Correction), on the other hand, provides a better usage of the power grid and allows this power supply to be comply with the European law, making Corsair able to sell it in that continent.
