Graphic Cards Question...? Why only ATI mid & higher Card for Sale....No Nvidia...?

Every one can see in the TE market that, there are High and mid range Ati Graphics cards for sales....no Nvidia Higher ends for Sale...Is there any problem in Ati Cards that's why people are selling there cards even less the 1 month old with huge price drop...But no one is selling Higher or mid end Nvidia Graphics Card.

I think it's lack of Phyxs in ATI Cards lead to this market.
This is just my thinking.....

What you all think about this...?

^^^No its not the best place for this thread....Read the Rules, if you want to discuss this, create a thread in the appropriate forum. Market is for selling and buying and not to discuss merits and demerits of any product or brand....

But in any case to answer your question....IMO most of TE users buy value for money product, instead of the best performing card or simply the cheapest card. And thats where ATI's strength lies.
 
Its because

1. ATI cards are Energy efficient

2. NVIDEA doesn't support TV Out/Dual Display after 7 series

3. NVIDEA cards are lightly overpriced
 
err thats because more ppl own ati here so moar cards in market ... its as simple as that .. btw i guess you took the phrase "Selling your arguement" quite literally .. :lol:
 
First of all on what basis are you forming the question, I actually see far more Nvidia cards on sale then ATI ? !!

And nope it doesnt mean since more ppl are selling NV cards, means they are worse off. It simply means they were very good for its time, and many ppl bough it (for eg. 8800 series). Same will happen in the next generation as many ppl have bought loads of 4850's...

Both the companies have their pro's and cons. Actually if your thought process go, I should be very cautious to buy anything from you :P (as you say people sell things because it does not work correctly)

i agree. im stuck with my stupid 9800gtx black. if i'd known anything about hd4850 back then i would've bought it instead... nvidia has started losing in its own game. my last 3 cards were nvidia. i always thought ati was shit. now im saving money for a hd4870x2. what does that tell ya...
 
Market is filled with ATI because this generation ati has sold major volumes. More ATI on retail market = more ATI on seconds market.

I was on nV too prior to this, but the 48xx series is just too lucrative with their vfm.

WHo told you ati cards are energy efficient..... Ati cards in the mid/ high end section..4850,4870,4850x2, 4870x2 etc...all of them have way higher powerconsumption at higher than the nvidia cards like 9800gtx, gtx260, gtx 280 etc....

but i agree ati cards r way better than nvidia currently, coz of their price to performance ratio

Why are you buying a high end card if you concerned about energy???

Can you show me a NVIDIA card with equivalent power and same energy consumed like:

HD 2400 PRO - 20W

HD 2400 XT - 22W

HD 2600 PRO - 28W

HD 2600 XT - 30W

HD 4350 - 25W

HD 4550 - 25W
 
Efficiency matters even in high end stuff. Why ? Because I leave my PC on 24x7, I game for max 2hrs. I dont want my GPU eating gobs of power sitting idle. Radeon 48xx don't have good idle power consumption compared to nV but their price/performance compensates for that in a big way.

When you have to chose between fps and power saving don't tell me you chose the later :rofl:

If efficiency is so important get a mobo with hybrix crossfire (OR better get a barebone download rig).
 
HYPE..Peer pressure

People give into Peer pressure... they just buy what others are buying currently and then sell it off when they realise that its just not so special.

NVidia is..well its what it is....
