Is it better to go for the X4 or the X2 on the long run?? Cos i remember reading AMD is discontinuing their old models around starting FEB '10

i) The X4 will ba a better choice in the long run

ii) The Dell Dell 2209WA costs 15-16k~ according the techshop.in website and you will have to do a big compromise in your CPU+Mobo+GPU to accomodate it.

iii) Its the 7200.11 series that had trouble and not the 2 series. BTW it is better to go for seagate 12 series/ WD blue for a primary HDD.

Your proccy+mobo+Ram+GPU costs ~20.5k

You can go for the PhenomII 545(4.6k)+Biostar 785GE(3.3k)+2GB 800MHz DDRII(1.8k)+Sappphire 1GB DDRIII HD4670(4.5k)~14.5-15k inorder to accomodate the Dell eIPS panel but this is not worth the compromise.
