Any suggestion would be fine guys, I don't need tonnes of apps, front Cam etc. Battery and 3G are the main requirements.

Nokia E5 is still available for ~8.6k or so and satisfies your requirements. But not sure how strong its battery backup is. Wait for the E5 users to comment on it.

But the h/w is pretty old and smooth browsing experience is question mark.

i use a BB - 9900 and i use 3G all the time... Also in your budget you may want to try Nokia E6 and BB Curve 9320

E6 is way out of budget, E5 seems like a cheap alternative.
