Graphic Cards R.I.P HD4850 and Hello.....?

Oh that really sucks. I hope you have a backup of whatever important documents and game saves from the conked drive.

Nope. Unfortunately, I didn't back up anything. Some of the stuff was spread across to my friends. The rest will just need to be re-downloaded. I'll try to re-attach the drive and see if there is just enough life in it to back a few things up. My f*ckin Skyrim save is now gone with it. I knew I should have backed it up. What a disaster!

Got myself a SeaSonic S12ii 620 from PrimeABGB yesterday.

They didn't have stock for 6950 1 or 2GB. Unfortunately, they didn't have GTX560Ti Twin Frozr edition either. However, the person at the counter informed me that the GTX560Ti 2GB Twin Frozr would be available by Monday, so I decided to wait. The alternatives I had was EVGA GTX560Ti SC 1GB Edition for 15.3k and Asus GTX560Ti 1GB DirectCU II for 14.5k. I didn't go for Asus as their distributor is Rashi and I had heard more bad RMA experiences than good ones. EVGA, I'm not sure why I didn't go for it, but decided to get the Twin Frozr once it arrives. So yeah, I'm set on the PSU side, now just waiting for the card.

Thanks and I managed to back up my Skyrim save from the dying HDD.

that is super news, cause I know how it felt when I lost my boderlands saved game at L26, and redid the entire gig. But more OT, is the skyrim legit copy, planing on giving it a shot

Hey we have all the time in the world, right? Besides, once I get my new card, we can have maxed out gaming performance.
<

OT: Pick up Darkness II, we'll co-op that once Payday: The Heist is over.
<

@Jasku: The answer is, no.

*ahem*

Don't worry, I haven't gone AWOL. I had to install all the essential stuff, since my OS re-install. So was busy with that and re-installing the required games. I tried out a Skyrim this morning on Ultra settings and Serious Sam 3: BFE with Ultra as well, both performed exceptionally well, considering my ancient CPU.

Payday: The Heist runs flawlessly as well. It used to drops frames pretty badly with V-Sync enabled on my earlier card.

I have a question for my fellow green owners; what setting in Nvidia control panel regulates the color and contrast settings across games? I have noticed 2 settings for color adjustment; Video & Desktop color management. I tried the video adjustment and it only managed the videos being played. ATI was much easier, as I could set individual color profiles and activate them via any hotkey. This has got my confused.
