Errrm apologies for the OT posts but I am headed for watching Raavan in sometime. I'll keep this thread updated on how it went. Show's at 9 PM. :P

It was a WTF movie.. I don't know how i sat there for three hours. It was pathetic. The visuals were good. The storyline wasn't gripping. As a whole, a disaster from Mani Ratnam.

And Aishwarya aunty was looking good :P

wait.. downloading.. downloaded.. bye guys.. getting myself tortured for the next 2 hrs.. :P

Saw the movie just now. :)

Quite watchable - cinematography by Santosh Sivan was simply brilliant. And the locations for the shoot. The first half was a bit boring and dragging but the second caught up pace and the ending was quite okay'ish. Overall a 7/10.

Oh and btw for the tamil version, Vikram portrays Abhishek's role and I guess that should have been better. And most of the peeps in the north haven't heard of our very own bombshell Priyamani.

Watched the Tamil version today morning. As Vikram is my favourite idol for the past seven years, I can say that this is one of his best performances. I hope that he will get a bagful of awards for the movie and I'm planning to watch the Hindi version soon. :)

Not just expected this from mani it`s just so boring even kites is far better than this pathetic abishek for God sake leave acting even a spot boy could act well than you.

ur comparing raavan to kites??

Kites is by far the most boring movie i've seen in my life barring maybe devdas..

Raavan as said isn't that great..but the cinematography is just amazing!

but i heard the tamil version is much better cos of vikram as ravana

Saw the movie yesterday...

Perhaps a poor deal if u r going for a 200 bucks show....I went for the cheap morning show...:bleh:

Abhishek bachchan's acting is very poor... so is the editing (pathetic)

However cinematography is just awesome... the locations chosen are damn awesome...:)
A must want for the locations...

If anybody here is a nature lover or a nature photograher (or any advance photographer), the film is a must watch... (morning show)... U will learn a lot how to use techniques and even if U discover beautiful nature, how you should shoot it to get the max from them....

After Downloading Raavan, i started regretting, why i downloaded it and wasted my bandqidth and valuable time.
A pathetic movie from Ratnam.

'Chandni Chowk to China' was better than this one....

Leaving aside the performances and how bad the movie is can anyone tell me what all locations this movie was shot in ? They are spectacular, especially the rain forests where there are those tall trees.
