guys,

no prizes for guessing, this ones from the ebay's currently running seasons greeting offer, i had opted for this gift as my roomie showed interest in this, now hes planning for 1tb and thus this would be of no use for him and for me as i already have a 1TB WD.

HD comes with a bundled free pouch for the hard disk as shown below in the pics.

who ever pays first gets it.

i would do bubble wrap packaging before shipping, to make sure the hd reaches you safely.

local buyers as always are welcome to check it at my place before buying.

the assessment that its under warranty is purely on the basis of several other ebay listings that are currently up on ebay, some of them are reputed sellers and they have mentioned that it has total 3 years of warranty by seagate.

on the box there are no serial numbers mentioned except the product code, manf. month/year, importer, product name, qty, customer care officer and no.

Also there is hardly any information avaiable about this product on seagate site and i couldnt trace the warranty info as well both on seagate and raid storage site.

investigating a bit more, i could easily trace a serial number on my WD HDs box, but the same is not available on this drive. i am guessing that drive that is inside the casing would carry a serial number but then that is just a guess.

i have to investigate a little further, would try calling up the customer care (works on singapore timings) and then would give you a more clear answer, meanwhile if anybody here has any information about the warranty for this HD could please share this with me on this thread, would really appreciate your word on this.

^but thats very strange, y not from seagate?? if its from a dist then does this mean its indirectly borne by seagate?

Is it the usual 2.5" drive inside a casing .. or something smaller (1.8" one)....
If it's the latter.. I'm interested...
