^^^ dont put in the 8gb card, it slow down the phone very much... put in a 4gb at max if you have to in the htc touch...
plus i think the wm interface is geek friendly and not user friendly... so will ur sis be able to use it and not keep cursing herself for not being able to perform a particular function on the phone

hmm......i am using p3400i with a 8 gb card. and there is no noticeable slowdown with or without the card.

windows mobile is no iphone, glitz for sure, but the basics are pretty intuitive i guess.

apart from 3g i guess htc touch is better off at the moment when looking at all the features....

can a htc touch owner clear my doubts..
1. if i flash unnecessary softwares using a custom rom
2. overclock the proci to 250mhz
3. use a 4gb card
will i get a nice experience...??

also last i heard (a month ago) it retailed for 14.5 with a 1gb card... how much does it retails for now..???

i dont own the touch, but own p3400 which has the same procy but lesser ram. even there you get a pretty gud expernice.

the only place where you will actually need that extra clock will be video playback of unconverted videos.

beside that the phone will be smooth. yeah remove the htc home thing and replace with something like ultimate launcher or claunch or something.

continous overclock might not be a gud idea. better use batterystatus for app based overclocking.

no continous overclock.. got that...

my videos would be all divx res - 320x240 run via smartmovie... think it can handle that at stock speed..??

hmm......wen i am not sure. what you can do is send me one or two demo clips then i can test it out and post back the experience.

okie that's a great idea... i have a friend at office, will try on his mobile...

does anyone uses pocketdivxconverter to convert movie for smartmovie for nokia or htc.... i want to know what quality settings they put on for audio and video...

i put video settings at 15 audio at 4....

if you dont use it try it.... it gives amazing fast encoding rates...
