how do i check the ram speed my ram is 800mhz
but when it starts it shows only 652mhz
can anyone tell me wht could be wrong
or is there any software to check the ram speed

i have a transcend 2gb ddr2 jetram 800mhz(single chip)
model nojm800qlu-2g)

my motherboard is abit ip35-e

i have core2 quad q6600
abit ip35-e
transcend 2gb ddr2 800mhz(signle chip)
i am not able to understand how to use cpu z
for checking ram there's a page spd
these are the following i get in the memory
type:ddr2

size:2048

channel:single

dram fz:408mhz
fsb:dram 2:3
etc

nothin is wrng....400mhz is actual clock while 800 is effective clock...
652 mhz mayb due to intels speed step technology which adjusts speed according to load...

type:ddr2

size:2048

channel:single

dram fz:408mhz
fsb:dram 2:3
etc

these are some of the information im getting is this correct for 800mhz speed
if it is 800mhz shouldnt it run at 800 rather than 400mhz
ddr1 used to run at 400mhz rite

If you had run CPUZ on DDR1 400, it would have showed 200MHz.

Don't worry, it's perfectly fine.
