^^ I already sold like 50-60 Pcs of OCZ C4 Latency when i was getting it for a cheaper price and forwarded the same to you'll too.
But now the distri's are quoting the normal market rates.

I feel unlucky as I am in the process of making myself a new rig. I wanted to have 8Gigs of ram but I will be lucky if I am able to get 4 Gigs
^ if u really need it , then no option than to buy it, for example if someone is making a new system they have to buy it. so its something that will sell @ whatever price it runs. only thing is someone would consider buying 1gig if they were planning to buy 2gig and so on and so forth...so if u really need it (i.e u do something/whatever on ur system that u end up using 100% of the ram available of the system) then buy it , if u need it just for that bling factor - dont buy it.

ok i declare the main purpose -the pc would be used for recording cctv videos(12-13hrs)+internet browsing and some downloading as well..
the pc is basically bought for office purpose and it will be operated by my dad...office purpose bounds using corel draw+an office software+microsoft word etc..
so i really think i must go for 1 gig?

^depends how much mem would the cctv recording app hog, have u observed this on another system ? downloading and browsing wouldn't take a lot. Corel Draw !!- yes will need sufficient mem for it to run, and if u are playing with large files , even more then. then depends on that 'office software' + word ( 1 instance easily takes upto 40mb in ram) , so multiple instances - more there. so now calculate. if u really negate corel from the list, 1 gig should be fine, taking corel into perspective changes the entire outlook, 2gig seems like a safer bet.
