Got a couple of questions for you guys.
Please see my sign below.

After getting my 5850, I am able to play games at full HD ,ultra quality & 4x AA.
But there seems to be some stuttering in some games, like Dawn of War 2, etc.
I get the feeling it might be due to insufficient ram.

Planning to get 2gb more of ram.

I also have plans to get a cpu cooler in a few months time and OC my CPU to 3.6 Ghz.

Question is, should i go for another 2gb stick of Transcend , or buy 2*2gb of corsair/Gskill and try to sell off my current 2gb stick? Would the Transcend ram prevent me from reaching such OC levels?

Buying a 2gb transcend stick would be the cheaper solution, and I would prefer it that way, unless there are some serious OC limitations due to the same( am kinda broke atm thanks to my 5850 :bleh:)
Cheers
V

Cmon guys.....

If you buy a new transcend stick, make sure you buy one with the same timings. Getting the same chips may be difficult, but if you got your rig recently, you may get lucky.
Matched pairs should overclock easier than individual sticks, still you should be able to overclock your ram a bit...in the end, a large part of overclocking is down to luck...not saying skill and patience doesn't matter, but if you've got chips that won't go any faster no matter how much you overvolt them, no amount of skill is going to make them go any faster.

Anyway, I think given a choice it's better to get more ram, than faster ram...get the second transcend stick...it'll give you a nice boost, even if it doesn't overclock well.
