Its Pathetic to say the least. I have uploaded it on Funenclave in the comics section. Its pretty boring.
 
Artwork is wicked (thats why the "yes")!! The script-flow could have been elevated a bit more nevertheless. I did find it not adhering to the original happenings at times, but then I haven't read it completely as yet and I hope it gets interesting as I move on. (and thats why the "maybe" :) )
 
This was Ramayan Reborn originally.
Shekhar Kapur was spearheading the project and they had managed to rope in Alex Ross to do the covers.

Thats what even i was thinking. Look at seeta's clothes, there are going to be demonstrations and the usual riotting over this soon.
 
The artwork is splendid but it has nothing to do with the original happenings. Sure, I expected certain parts to be exaggerated and some additions here and there, but not an entire remake. In the end, connecting it to the original was just a cheap publicity stunt.
 
sheesh..its hopeless..after reading this god himself will descend from the heavens to punish these fools..

what the hell is this? Ramayana meets LOTR meets Star Wars ?

guys guys... this is the ramayan reloaded... look closely... it's stated to happen in 3392 AD... ;) :P
so all these hi-tech and "cleavage" is bound to happen... :rofl:

If you cant get a simple straight question, why bother answering it?

i was referring the fact that the Ramayana series from Virgin Comics was launched a long time back..

way back in 2006 infact.

i have read the entire series of comics launched by virgin(including shakti, the john woo series, etc etc) and was just wondering if the virgin team was launching a new series or something.

and even if this WAS sarcasm, why would YOU get offended?

Whos getting offended?

I thought you were talking about Ramayana as a story, and hence i pointed out that they have speciefied in the title that it is set in the future.

But if your question meant something else, then my answer does not apply, overlook it please :)
 
Strange how everyone suddenly woke up to the idea of capitalizing on Ramayana one day!

<OT> The Mahayoddha Rama movie however looks pretty decent. Teaser on Youtube. Amazing graphics, all Indian crew :D </OT>
