An ebay lady called me today morning, I told her that the matter is solved because I was in talks with Rahul and Tirupati and I thought I would be able to sort this problem in a few hours but didnt get any confirmation from Tirupati that my SMPS has 5 years warranty. They are blaming the itwarescom and he is blaming Tirupati. From the msgs of Tirupati it seems that they provide warranty from mfg date and not the purchase date of the customer. Can someone confirm this?
I just hope that it gets solved tomorrow. Havent even got any reply from Seasonic yet.

It was very foolish enough not to return the product, after all there is a serious problem with the seller and you still seem to have a blind eye towards it.

Now to get the facts straight, on the product website, it clearly mentions 3yrs, if ITW went and said it 5years, you should have double checked. Now if they are are going to play ball with you then your going to loose out on your product, neither is ITW going to budge or Tirupati or even eBay for that matter, ITW is already a moron in itself and i really dont understand what kinda of a business model he runs, enough said and painted, return the product, raise another complaint and sat the seller never solved the problem,
 
whatever you do, always keep eBay in the loop, I ended up paying shipping myself for returning a defective product, never got any refund from eBay.

Tirupati have confirmed that Seasonic carries 5 yrs warranty for India at least for this model. But they have not confirmed the same from my S/N. I think I dont need it but I still asked about it.
If they confirm it, then the problem is solved. And if they dont, then also I should get 5 years warranty as bought it from itwares on 26th September and itwares bought it from Tirupati on 8 May 2013. And in this case, I am sorry to say but I agree with Rahul(if he is not lying about his purchase date from Tirupati) that I should get 5 years warranty no matter what as he only got the SMPS in May 2013 and it was kept with Tirupati for 1.5 years for who knows what reason.
I mean, for example if you buy a mobile in October 2013 which had manufacturing date of March 2013, you dont get the warranty from March 2013 but from your purchase date. Dont you think its right?
So I am gonna install it tomorrow.
 
Absolutely everywhere on every product the invoice date is considered or the serial no printed on the product whichever date is later.

If tiru ent is telling we will consider only from the manufacturing date, irrespective of the invoice that's very unethical and against the consumer law too if i am right.

But you can claim misleading ebay listing as itwares has clearly mentioned 5 years, it is his headache to sort with tiru ent.
So he can't wash off his mistake on the distributor. It was his duty to check out the warranty facts not the buyer's

Tirupati hasn't said any of the two things. Neither that the warranty is entertained from the mfg date nor that it is entertained from the invoice date of the buyer. They just said that Seasonic carries 5 yrs warranty. If they could just confirm it for my SMPS and I get a written confirmation from them, all will be alright. Anyways, I think that Rahul is right in this case. He also called me tonight and we tried to talk to the Chairman of Tirupati but he didnt pick up his phone. So we weren't able to talk to him.
There is nothing misleading on itwares listing as Tirupati has confirmed of the 5 years warranty.
 
Sorry for replying this late but was busy in something.
I decided to keep it and installed the SMPS on Tuesday noon. As Tirupati confirmed about 5 yrs warranty for this model, I guess I should have no problems whatsoever

The replacement sent by him has stopped working too. He doesnt respond to my emails and msgs on whatsapp. Called him on phone, lost my cool and gave him choicest words possible. Will be returning the items to him and ask him to use the proceeds of the same to buy chocolates and stuff for his wife and kids. Looks like the poor guy is in need of money , thats why he is such a $%*%^%@$
