Inglorious Basterds - 9/10

Finally watched it.... and it has to be one of the better movies from Quentin. Brad Pitt's accent takes a little time to sink in, but it works on some levels, certainly more tolerable than his jarring pikey accent in Snatch (although, it did make his knucklehead gypsy character more prominent).

But the best part was rest of the cast and superb performances... specially Christoph Waltz's eccentric, cunning yet uber intelligent Col. Landa was the most memorable character of the movie. It's not easy playing cold-blooded antagonist and keeping the stature of character on the same level throughout the movie, but Waltz makes a fine run and delivers the goods from the first chapter.

All in all, an awesome movie... and I'm glad I finally watched it. :)

Funny People.. Nice movie. Diff kinda movie with Adam Sandler's Mature performance than his other typical comedies. This one is a situational comedy kinda movie.. nice movie not regretting after seeing it (which i did after watching Transformers 2 and Terminator Salvation and Final Destination 4).

Inglorious Basterds - 9/10- Awesome, QT legendary

Whatever Works - 6/10 - Larry David's first movie, it was decent not close to Seinfeld/ CYE.

Battle Royale (Director's Cut) 5 out of 10

Even the crappy stone cold's 'The Condemned' looks miles better than this over hyped Japanese flick

THE HURT LOCKER - 9.2/10:

i can understand if you give a 9 or a 9.5 , which is like it comes close , but how do you decide that a movie is 9.2 or 9.3 ? do you have a checklist and then tally it up , how are these numbers done ? .. just an observation i am not really picking on you

QT's a pretty shallow guy that way. You can see that from his movies, almost all of which are sort of 'interesting in the moment and no more'.
You will like what is going on on-screen and you will be gripped, but there will be no real point to it most of the time or even much plot development.

The best example of this is his sequence in the movie Four Rooms.

I agree with you guys on Battle Royale. The premise was really cool but it just didn't live up to the hype.

As far as QT is concerned, I think Waisa Bhi Hota Hai is better than any of his movies despite being inspired by the same movies his movies were inspired by :p

How does it matter? That is his style, just like Guy Ritchie is famous for making stylish slick movies. What matters in the end is that we enjoy what we are watching and that is almost a guarantee if its a tarantino film. If you ask me I wouldn't trade character development with the kind of atmosphere he creates in each of his movie.
