some movies that I saw last week
1. Stoning of Soraya M.
The Stoning of Soraya M. - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Its a really disturbing movie, based on a true story. The stoning scene in particular. I mean yes we have movies like "SAW" and "Hostel" but they are pieces of fiction but the things shown in this movie happened and are still happening. Just the thought about it sends chills down my spine.

I had a wierd thought after watching the movie, how would the Middle east turned out if there was no oil ? I mean with the extremism and all.
Felt better for being born and bought up in India.
2. Whole Nine Yards 7.5/10 : Had to watch it after the previous movie.

3. Harold and Kumar go to white castle : One word "Awesome"

4. Batman Begins : Love the background score

5. IronMan : Robert Downey Jr. Kicks a$$.

Thamizh Padam

A spoof movie (probably the first of its kind in Tamil), which is hilarious occasionally and pretty boring rest of the time.

5/10. Watch it if you want to kill some time.

Time Traveller's wife : 8/10.

Its not complicated like butterfly effect. It does not even have that great story. We have seen it all in similar movie and TV serials. Plenty of loopholes to pick for someone who will watch this from a SciFi angle. My advice : dont. Dont even think of it as even 1% SciFi.

But the entire package, acting, the way this movie is put together makes it worth a watch. I tend to pass romantic movies, but the title got me interested.

Saw "Road, Movie" yesterday. I dont know how to put it.

I went in to the movie with high expectations. I knew I should have any preconceived notions, but still. What can I say, as expected Abhay's performance is on par with his other roles, Satish Kaushik is a real feather in the cap. Great cinematography, camera work and great background score.

The story had great potential, however, there is a point in the movie where it becomes a joke, add in a few improbable situations. For me, it failed to recover from where it failed for me. The movie has its high points, few and far in between, however most of the times you will see a truck moving around in dunes. One has to question the motive of such movies. Are they ala "Ars gratia artis" or a creation of a few self obsessed, dope smoking intellectual wannabes, for me its difficult to say.

If you would just ask me, I would say - skip the theatres and wait for the DVD, but do watch it if you can.

Screw the movie and plot and that stupid fat truck running around.. Just tell me is that Teil Maalish song in the movie or it was just a promotional crap?

And anyways i never watch Abhey's movie, but i do like him as an actor and personality but not at a fan of his films..

Is the song in the movie?
