Rate the Last Movie You Saw...

The last two films that I saw weren't new films and I wasn't even watching them for the first time.

BUT.

2001: A Space Odyssey - 200/10
and
GAANDU - 7/10

Both of them are exceptionally good films. Gandu being applauded for its low-budget, indie feel and shock value.

2001, well, that's another story altogether. For me, it is THE GREATEST film of all time. No debates, no moot points, no arguments. Its cinematic indulgence at it's very best. The complexity of the story and characters, the imagery, the structure and everything else - I can write a doctoral thesis about this film. But if you haven't seen it, DEFINITELY watch it. Be patient with it and you shall be rewarded with a fresh perspective about everything you've ever learnt so far in your life.

Vishwaroop (Hindi)

8.5/10

Beautifully done for an Indian movie!
But couldn't understand the nature of the controversy surrounding the movie :confused1:

I don't exactly know whether it was the edited version or not.
But since I watched on Monday so should be the non edited one, right?

Yep in the theatres when they released. Good movies worth a watch. The first one esp. with the serial killer theme! And Jo was absolutely spectacular with Kamal.

Have you seen Pizza? Naan Ee? Please watch them. You'd love it.
Yes ! Kamalhassan has done great job ! This line almost cracked me up [considering situation]:

Why do you keep saying shit ? Is your mother's name

I have seen Eega. Good CG & brilliant acting by Sudeep. But Samantha is okayish & so was telgu-ish type story.

Will check out Pizza ! Not available in torrents :P

If anyone here is a Sudeep fan, then you must watch his Kannada movie Huchcha which is a copy of Sethu which was later made in Hindi as Tere Naam. Sudeep has given one hell of a performance.

IP Man 1 & 2 - Holy shit, these are really awesome movies. Watched back to back. The first one was especially good.

8.5/10 - Must watch.

Indeed, Ipman was awesome, a bit slow but a treat for kung fu/fighting movie fans!

Vishwaroopam first day 7am show experience!

Finally an awesome Indian spy thriller.
Fantastic 1st half, second half could have been screen played a bit more faster, nonetheless it was still good.
Major gripe for me was the story being very inconclusive, now got to desperately wait until Vishwaroopam II.

Fans like me will love it, and that one scene in the first half alone is enough, am still searching for the jaw I dropped.
Will watch again in Auro3D

The Secret Of Kells - 8 / 10

A musical and picturesque wonder. Though you'll not get the movie easily - its not the daily tea that you are served. Its completely different and quite perplexing.

Do give it a watch for a serious change :)

Vishwaroopam - Awesome
FDFS,Kamal FTW,
Technically sound and on par with Hollywood movies, nice thriller but i felt Nasser and Rahul Bose was under utilized.
Planning to watch it again but this time on Auro 3D.
