Graphic Cards rate this 6800

Hmmm....its got a Coolermaster CollVIVA heatsink...that itself costs 2K....good buy IMHO

tehr is a good chance of unlocking a 6800..AFAIK, everyone in this forum has done it
 
guys,
i am taking this card for my friend to whom i sold my sytem.
but on web it talks that there should be 25MM gap between northbride and AGP.

now i dont have the system and my frined cannot open the system also :ohyeah:

so can anybody please help me with this.
my board is - 865GBF. :no: :no: :no: :no:
i am almost done with this card only thing it should fit into the mobo.

doesnt depend on the mobo its unlocked in...

tecnomaniac unlocked his BFG6800OC....anishcool unlocked his gainward 6800 here
 
it is not 6800LE or 6800NU edition.

thats why i am asking is it possible?

i am in tokyo now and board is at my friends place in india.

If you are getting it from abroad i.e. without warranty i would advise against a brand like inno3d :| get some other well known brand like msi, leadtek, xfx etc.
The 6800 u said the 6800NU or standard. Unlocking is not sumthng 100% u might or might not be able to unlock the extra pipes. Its done using rivatuner, no big deal. We have a guide here at TE i think.
 
Well if your looking for a 6800, then I suggest you get Gainward. It was 13.5k two months back so it should be about 12.5-13k now considering that prices have dropped after the 7800GTX release...

About softmodding here is the guide !

Though the Coolermaster heatsink is good, Gainward's stock heatsinks are also known to be among the best. Also there's that added red glow ;)
 
a card from abraod with no warranty can create troubles,what willl you do if the card is fried
also,won't unloacking and oc just increase your risk
 
Lol, unlocking is absolutely safe. Even then I suggest you by from India. IMHO I believe the 6800 outperforms the 6600GT and when its unlocked to 16 x 6 it cleary is one-notch above the 6600GT's. Though try and get the 256MB version which Leadtek is selling here, 256MB of 256-bit memory will help you a lot :D
 
Lol, no I unlocked my Gainward 6800 AGP :P

Any card can be unlocked if the chipsets has masked pipes, read my guide for more info, the link is on the previous page.

The Leadtek 6800 256MB AGP/PCIe is about 16.5k, both are priced almost the same...
 
Edit : Chaos is right, the 6800 PCIe cannot be unlocked !

Also as Nikhil pointed out the 6800GT AGP from Leadtek is for 18k, consider that or else go for Leadtek 6800 256MB AGP
 
Guys from 11K to 18K is 2 much for my friend.
his budget is 10K only just i thought i will take 6800 plain and overclock it and may be unlock extra pipe.
its AGP version so i can unlock thats great.

I hope after unlocking it should outperform 6600GT.
is there any thread for this or any review / tests between unlocked 6800 and 6600GT.
