Real or Fake: Sennheiser CX-300 On Deal Extreme

I once ordered the very same headphones from an Amazon third-party dealer and it was obvious they were fake (tinny sound and cheapie case). I would stay away from this deal.

Its an original CX-300. However its NOT a Sennheiser CX-300 !!! Check the images of the box and the description. Nowhere is it mentioned to be a Sennheiser CX-300 ! :)

There has been a big discussion on the same and in the end poor amol_cool wasnt ready to take the responsibility if anything went wrong. Go ahead and check the thread.
 
But aren't CX-300 (genuine ones i mean) just rebranded creative EP630 or say other way round or even better that both creative and sennheiser rebrand OEM earphones and sell at different price point :S

I think i had read somewhere that both of these are same.

PS: My roomie for some reason swears by sennheiser. Says "Main tereko Senhisser sunata hoon...fir tu aur kuch nahi sunega" :P
 
^ Hope he is talking about a Sennheiser IE8 :P. By the way some say that CX-300 and EP-630 are the same but when I had a EP-630 ,i had compared it with another friends CX-300. They do sound very similar but the CX-300 is slightly better(clear and less muddy midrange) but then it's not worth the actual price.
 
^ Then make him listen to your RE-2 , I am sure he will never touch a Sennheiser again if he appreciates Quality audio. :rofl:.
