CPU/Mobo Recommend MOBO & processor

Please recommend me a processor & MOBO for around 13-14K together!!!
Will not be doing any OC!!
I will be using a HD4850 graphic card!!!

I would suggest same cpu+mobo as madnav. No need to have baseless affinity towards intel, check Anandtech, for your budget it would best suit your needs.

But if you have your reasons, ah well, others would be able to suggest better. I posted just to enlighten you.
 
+1 to the AMD config although I would recommend getting the Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-UD4H as a stabler option since Biostars can be a bit flakey.

If you need an Intel config, the E7400 + Gigabyte EP43-S3L should suit you just fine.

will cost 4k extra if talkin abt 790GX :)

incase of the intel config suggested...u will have to settle for a discreet gpu too.

Ok, so now the processor is fixed, give me the options in motherboard for Phenom II X3 720BE for around 6K!!!
 
Since you shall be using a discrete graphics card, get any motherboard that allows for a decent level of OC'ing - look for anything that uses the SB700/SB750. Check out the ASUS M3A78-EMH w/HDMI for 5.6K. It's one of the best selling mobos on newegg.

P.S.: AMD shall be releasing new processors on the 23rd of this month and there is a fair chance that prices of the mid-range X3s might go down due to the ever falling rates of their flagship X4s. (the 940BE is already down to $170 in the US). You might wanna hold off on your purchase till then.
