I have joined Bsc (I.T.) first year so guys please recommmend some good book for C language, digital electronics, maths, Digital Computer Fundamental.

The most important book which I want is for C and maths.

what maths do you have?
is it real analysis by any chance?? if it is then books wont make a difference...you will do miserably anyways like the rest of 'em.

I would say Let us C - Yashwanth kanithker

Balagurusamy was a little too complicated with me with all those huge programs at the end of each chaper

Let us C takes it simple and stepwise

Digital Electronics - Morris Mano

>> Atleast I am not that brilliant to start off studying C with Kerningham and Ritchie

Err... Its the simplest book you can get and also you can finish it in like 3-4 days.

Balagurusamy and Yashwanth -> too many mistakes (typos, whole concept inverted etc). Don't like them. (But Yashvant book is good for TSR/BIOS/interrupts/xxxx basics but then thse topics are outdated :P)

That Balaguruswamy guy is totally *retarded*. In c++ book one whole paragraph had the concept reversed!!!

IDE - Morris Manno is a good book.

As far as C is concerned, Balagurusamy or Yashwant Kanithkar do have mistakes but are the books that are generally used.

For math, I remember using a book called D.B. Brahamankar and for DM the book was a three author book, I remember only one name :P Ross

I may have the book by D.B. Brahamankar lying around somewhere. Its of no use to me. Incase you would like to have it drop me a PM. If I find it, I can give it to you provided you can meet me somewhere and collect it.

BTW, BSc(IT) from which college?
